Meet Benjamin Hurley

Born and raised in Phelps, Kentucky, I grew up with a deep respect for service, discipline, and perseverance. After graduating from Phelps High School, I answered the call to serve my country in the United States Army, where I proudly served with the 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment (Red Currahee), 101st Airborne Division. My time in uniform taught me the importance of leadership, accountability, and never leaving anyone behind — values that continue to guide me every day.

I’ve seen firsthand the struggles facing our communities, from limited job opportunities to crumbling infrastructure and the devastating impacts of addiction and homelessness.

That’s why I’m running for the U.S. House of Representatives: to bring disciplined, mission-driven leadership to Washington and to fight for job growth, infrastructure investment, energy independence, and real solutions to combat drug abuse and homelessness.

My vision is simple, to rebuild opportunity in Eastern Kentucky and ensure that every family, worker, and veteran has the chance to thrive.
